Tasting notes :
Nose : rich with notes of dried fruit, honey and spices.
Palate : incomparable complexity, notes of vanilla and oak.
Finish : long and elegant.
Cru : Grande Champagne, 1st in the Cognac AOC. This is more than 13,200 hectares of vines dedicated to the production of white wines for Cognac. The soils of the appellation area are typically clay-limestone. Double distillation produces fine eaux-de-vie with a predominantly floral bouquet. They reach full maturity after long ageing in oak barrels.
Harvest : 1974.
Grape variety : Ugni blanc.
Ageing : minimum 50 years in French oak barrels.
