Tasting notes :
Colour : amber with golden highlights.
Nose : complex with notes of dried fruit, vanilla and caramel.
Palate : complex, very elegant, velvety texture with notes of cocoa and honey.
Finish : very long, slowly evolving towards spicy and woody notes.
Cru : Grande Champagne, 1st in the Cognac AOC. This is more than 13,200 hectares of vines dedicated to the production of white wines for the production of Cognac. The typical soil of the appellation area is clay-limestone. Double distillation produces fine eaux-de-vie with a predominantly floral bouquet. They reach full maturity after long ageing in oak barrels.
Grape variety : Ugni blanc.
Ageing : minimum 100 years in French oak barrels.
Serve at room temperature, ideally as a digestif, accompanied by a cigar or dark chocolate.
